Our Volunteer Projects

Find a project that matches your passion.

Whether you want to support children, empower women, work in the medical sectors or in an animal shelter – your time and skills can make a real difference.

Responsible Partnerships

We carefully select the projects we work with and maintain regular communication with project managers and local staff.

Our team visits the projects regularly to understand their current needs, follow up on volunteer experiences and ensure that our cooperation remains useful for the local community.

Healthcare Volunteering

Nurses, doctors, midwives and therapists welcome!

Gain insight into the local healthcare system while supporting medical professionals and communities.

Choose the area you would like to support – from medical and patient care to maternity and surgical support.

Please note: Hospitals in Tanzania require a mandatory contribution of USD 50 per week, paid directly to the hospital to cover supervision and administration costs.

Affordable and impactful volunteering

Teaching Volunteers

Support children in their daily learning and personal development. Many schools are overcrowded and have limited resources, so your support can make a meaningful difference in the children’s education and confidence.
You will assist local teachers by teaching basic English, reading, writing and other subjects depending on your interests and skills. You may also help children with homework, organize creative activities, play educational games, sing songs, or simply spend time with them.

Community Outreach & Women Empowerment

Support local women and girls through education, skills development and community initiatives. Many women in Tanzania face challenges such as limited access to education, employment opportunities, and financial independence.
Help create a safe and encouraging environment where women can share experiences, learn new skills, and gain confidence..

Intercultural exchange at its best!

Orphancare and Baby Safe Home

Daily activities include feeding babies, helping with dressing and hygiene, playing, singing songs, comforting them, carrying them, and supporting the local caregivers with everyday routines.

Special Needs Support

Support children and adults with disabilities through education, care and meaningful activities.

These welcoming institutions support children and young people with physical and intellectual disabilities between the ages of 4 and 18.

Volunteers can support education, therapy and daily activities such as sports, dancing, cooking, swimming and creative activities – while simply spending time together, playing and having fun.

Help care for abandoned and injured animals and support local animal welfare initiatives.

Your tasks include feeding the animals, cleaning and maintaining their living areas, walking dogs and simply playing with cats and puppies.

Depending on the shelter’s needs, you may also assist with awareness activities, basic training, or helping during veterinary visits.

Social Impact

Become part of a caring community built on respect, commitment and mutual learning.

Come with an open mind. Learn, connect and contribute.

Support local communities in a way that is respectful, sustainable and responsive to their actual needs. We believe that sustainable community work starts with the people who are already there.

Your Contribution Matters

Volunteering is not about coming to Tanzania to “save” people. It is about meeting people, learning from each other and contributing your time, skills and energy where local partners identify a genuine need.

Experience Tanzania beyond tourism. Connect with local people, discover the culture while making a lasting impact.
